Ahlers Violin Studio - Tauranga Youth Chamber Ensemble

The Tauranga Youth Chamber Ensemble is a talented bunch of young violinists from Ahlers Violin Studio and cellists from Therèse Ahlers Music Studio in Tauranga. The players are all school students between 11 to 18 years old.

Currently we are working on a all-baroque programme with a focus on works by the baroque composers Vivaldi and Telemann. A real treat for lovers of baroque music!

The baroque era was a whirlwind of creativity, introducing fresh musical forms such as the solo concerto. Audiences were dazzled by Vivaldi's groundbreaking solo concertos composed for his students' debut performances.

Our programme is real musical magic. We have five young soloists performing some thrilling works - from solo violin to viola and flute concertos, a concerto for two violins, and even a string concerto!
